Services procurement questions, like Independent Contractor relationships, marketing services providers, legal service providers, software license agreements... bring 'em on. I now spend the vast majority of my time managing procurement professionals and organizing Shared Service centers where procurement activity is centralized. I am an expert in the design and development of procurement policies and procedures. In short... I know how procurement is SUPPOSED to be done and I am very particular about adhering to definable, repeatable, and measureable activities. Oh, and did I mention that I am an expert in the implementation and use of Oracle Procure-to-Pay applications? Yup... that's right... Oracle version 11.0.2 through 11.5.10.2!!

I have worked in a wide range of industries; manufacturing (a catalog marketing company that produced many of its own products), high-technology (a Fortune 1000 software company), hospitality (a billion dollar ski and resort property conglomerate), printing (both as a buyer and a producer of printed materials), and architecture & engineering (a top-tier A&E firm). I have formed a shared service center from the ground up, launched two p-card programs, and managed professional buyers for more than 5 total years. On the Oracle stuff, I've lead two full life-cycle implementations (as the Purchasing and iProcurement lead), and worked in an around Oracle apps as a user, trainer, implementer, system administrator and business analyst for the better part of 10 years.
